- Kakimoto Hiromi | 垣本泰美
Hiromi Kakimoto's (b. 1976) work explores the relationship between memory and the process of storytelling. Her series are characterized by images that seem like fragments of dreams or memories. By capturing the space between the real and the unreal, her multi-layered, metaphorical photographs invite viewers to project their own narratives. Her work has been exhibited in Russia, France, South Korea, Sweden, Belgium, and many other countries around the world. She currently lives in Kyoto, Japan, where she works as an associate professor at Seian University of Art and Design.
